Purpose
There are other computer recycling programs. However, many are only available a few times a year. And, you sometimes actually have to pay a fee to donate your computer components. Do you know where your computer goes? Is it disposed of safely?
Goodwill has a better solution. RECONNECT Michigan. This is an exciting computer recycling partnership between the Goodwill Association of Michigan and the Dell computer company.
You can donate your computer, monitor, printer, keyboard, etc. at any Goodwill store in Michigan—any day of the week. So much for the convenience, what about the cost? Absolutely FREE.
Dell has a rigorous process for selecting its recycling partner—the company to which your computer goes after your donation leaves Goodwill. Dell assures you that your computer and its components will be disposed of in ways that are 100 percent environmentally sound. You have Goodwill’s word—and Dell’s—on that.
Computer recycling at Goodwill has two components.
