POTENTIAL WORK

Goodwill Industries of Central Michigan’s Heartland will consider any kind of work—performed in one of our facilities or in yours (referred to as an ‘enclave’).  Some of the types of work we’ve done include:  Assembly, packaging, gauging, inspection, labeling, sorting, inserting, sealing, kitting, collating, gluing and taping.

DEPARTMENT’S MISSION STATEMENT


The mission of GICMH’s Contracts area is to provide employment opportunities, employment training, and financial resources to support Goodwill’s efforts to assist individuals with disabilities and other vocational barriers.

The Manufacturing Department at Goodwill Industries of Central Michigan’s Heartland is committed to continuous improvement of its product and services by striving to provide zero defect quality and 100 percent on-time delivery in a cost-effective manner to ensure customer satisfaction.

TERRITORY

GICMH may do work for companies located in the following counties:  Barry, Branch, Calhoun, Clinton Eaton, Gratiot, Ingham, Jackson, the northern half of Hillsdale County and the western one-quarter of Washtenaw County.

FACILITIES


Goodwill Industries of Central Michigan’s Heartland performs its work at two plant facilities, 4820 Wayne Road, Battle Creek and 617 N. Mechanic Street, Jackson.  We also do work at the customers’ work sites—in the community.  It depends upon the need.

I.S.O. STANDARDS

At the Battle Creek campus GICMH’s Manufacturing Department is ISO 9001:2000 registered.  At the Jackson campus, Goodwill’s Manufacturing  Department is in the process of obtaining ISO-9000 registration.
