Financial Opportunity Center (FOC):

The FOC operates with three pillars to support individuals in the community. The pillars are financial coaching, access to supportive services, and workforce development. A financial coach will meet with participants to establish spending habits, expenses, and a budget. Participants will also enroll into financial classes to change financial behavioral patterns. The participant will then be introduced to an income support specialist (ISS). The ISS will review the participant’s expenses and try to leverage resources in the community to temporarily offset some expenses to help the participant establish a positive cash flow. After a participant changes financial behavior and has a positive cash flow our workforce development team begins to address job skills and work behavior to move the participant into a job or into a higher paying position.
